A Sensory Yoga Experience
The senses are integral to our existence. They are the instruments through which we perceive and engage with the outer world. Have you ever experienced the feeling of being overwhelmed and carried away by this engagement with the outer world? This feeling is sometimes so powerful that it makes us dependent on outer objects and sensory gratification to find satisfaction and happiness. We forget that the true source of joy and fulfilment lies within us.
In this workshop, we will discuss the importance and benefits of activating the senses in our yoga practice and in our daily life. We will go through a number of exercises to experiment your outer and inner senses, including a 45-minute blindfolded yoga asana practice. We will also end with a mindfulness practice using your sixth sense.
These exercises activate a great amount of mindfulness, body and spatial awareness, and conscious breathing. We hope they will contribute to enable you to control your senses, and find inner peace and happiness.
