Self-Acceptance YOGA × GONG MEDITATION

Gong Meditation is a unique style of meditation that can be easily practiced by anyone. We will combine a short asana practice followed by a relaxing gong meditation.

 

This is a form of sound meditation using therapeutic gong sounds and vibrations to bring about healing. Through this sound bath, your left brain will shut down and unlock the more creative right brain. In addition, gong meditation induces Alpha and Theta brainwave frequencies which presents the state of relaxation and daydreaming phase. In some cases, it even brings Delta waves, which are associated with deep sleep. By going into these phases, it helps the body to heal, reduce stress and restores balance.

 

The gong is the spirit song. It is the primal whisper for the soul. Its sound is the echo of the original word that created the universe, the SOUND within all sounds.

 

Meditation sounds like a difficult practice that requires special techniques. However, gong mediation can simply be done by lying down. While some people may fall into a deep sleep, others may be in a phase where they’re between sleep and awake. Some people may be deeply inspired through the gongs.
