When we see people for the first time, we introduce ourselves and are introduced. This is an important and essential process to understand others. This is also an important process when we learn something new.

101 means introduction. In Nami Yoga Studio, we are starting a series of workshops called Yoga101. In these workshops, we share traditional yogic lessons and concepts step by step. We truly believe that yoga is not just an exercise on the mat, it is bigger than that.

Through yoga practice, we can get lots of benefits. The question is; how can we apply physical practice into our daily life? Or what are the lessons off the mat?
Yoga101 which combines lecture with asana practice will provide the opportunity to explore your practice through philosophies and concepts.

We are organizing 3 sessions this time so that you can learn continuously and so that you can choose the subjects which you are interested in. Yoga101 welcomes everyone. Let’s dive into a deeper understanding, and enjoy our yoga journey together!

(All classes include lecture and asana practice.)

What is Asana?

“How do we connect the Asana/posture practices with our daily life?”

When we do something, we have stories. We achieve our purpose and intentions through moves. This also happens when we practice asanas. As we mentioned the last Yoga101(Don’t miss the blog too!),  yoga is one of the philosophical system in India.

In this workshop, we will read the intentions behind them. And we will learn how to apply on-the-mat practice into off-the-mat.
