Yoga Classes

Hybrid Yoga Classes
Since March 2020, Nami Yoga Studio has offered a hybrid yoga class format, allowing students to join either in-studio or online via Zoom. Most of our classes are available in both formats, while a few are exclusively online or studio-only. Please check the yoga class schedule carefully before booking.
To join an online yoga class, simply use the Zoom link provided in your booking confirmation email. All students will be muted during the session. You're welcome to turn off your video, although we encourage you to keep it on so the teacher can better observe and support your practice.

Hatha Yoga
Hatha yoga is the foundation of many modern yoga styles. In this class, we hold each asana (yoga pose) for at least 5 breaths to focus on proper alignment, body awareness, and control. The class also incorporates meditation and breathwork as essential elements of the practice.
*Beginner classes will cover foundational poses and breathing techniques.
*Intermediate classes will introduce more advanced yoga postures and longer holds.
-
Hatha Flow
In this Hatha flow yoga class, asanas (yoga postures) are linked together in short, smooth sequences. Each pose is held for up to 5 breaths, allowing time to focus on both breath and alignment. The dynamic yet mindful transitions make this class ideal for those looking to balance movement and stillness.
*Intermediate classes include more advanced poses and transitions.
-
Slow Flow
Slow flow yoga emphasizes deeper, slower breathing and intentional movement. In this class, asana sequences are practiced with mindful transitions, allowing students to stay longer in each pose and fully experience the benefits of breathwork, alignment, and body awareness. Ideal for grounding and resetting both body and mind.
-
Vinyasa
In this Vinyasa yoga class, movement is synchronized with the breath. You’ll flow through sequences of asanas (yoga postures) connected in a continuous rhythm, with transitions like Chaturanga to Downward Dog forming the core of the vinyasa flow. This style helps improve focus, build heat, and energize the body.
*Intermediate classes move at a faster pace and include advanced postures.
-
Flow & Meditate
This class offers a blend of slow flow yoga and guided meditation. The first half of the session features gentle, breath-based movement to prepare the body and calm the mind. The second half transitions into meditation, allowing space for inner reflection and stillness. Each instructor brings a unique style to the practice.
*Examples of meditation include Walking Meditation, Mindful Eating (Raisin Meditation), Yoga Nidra, and Body Scan.

Ashtanga Yoga
Ashtanga yoga is a traditional practice built around a set sequence of asanas (yoga postures), synchronized with breath counts and drishti (focused gaze). The sequence remains the same each time, allowing for steady progress and deeper focus as you gradually expand the number of poses.
At Nami Yoga Studio, we offer the Red Class style of Ashtanga yoga, where all students follow the teacher’s lead together. This class provides a well-rounded balance of standing, seated, and finishing postures.
If you’re new to yoga, returning after a break, managing a physical condition, or recovering from an injury, we kindly ask that you contact us before joining this class. We're here to help you practice safely and confidently.

Friday Savasana
Held on the first Friday of every month, this class blends techniques rooted in deep relaxation, including restorative yoga, breathwork, meditation, and cleansing practices.
Poses are supported by props and held for extended periods to help the body fully release tension. Each month features a different instructor, offering a fresh approach to this calming experience.
-
Restorative Yoga
Take time to relax and restore with this gentle, supportive class. Using props and intentional sequencing, restorative yoga encourages the body to soften and release.
You'll explore breathing exercises (pranayama), asana (poses), and occasional meditation (dhyana) to harmonize the body and mind. This practice is ideal for all levels and offers a balance of passive rest and inner connection.
-
Yin Yoga
Yin yoga targets the body's deep connective tissues, including ligaments, joints, fascia, and bones. This meditative practice includes long-held, mostly seated or reclined poses, each sustained for 3 to 5 minutes.
It’s a perfect complement to more dynamic (yang) styles of yoga, offering a slower pace to improve flexibility, stillness, and inner awareness.
-
Iyengar Yoga
In this Iyengar yoga class, asanas are performed with precise alignment, emphasizing posture and mindful movement. Every part of the body is consciously engaged to develop deep body awareness — from the skin to the muscles, fascia, and bones. Developed by B.K.S. Iyengar, this method adapts to students of all ages and abilities.
Certified Iyengar Yoga instructors may use props to help students refine alignment, support physical conditions, and improve body imbalances. All asanas are introduced in Sanskrit and sequenced purposefully to transform both body and mind through this unique, therapeutic approach.
